Summary
Directs and coordinates activities of the distribution center. This includes shipping & receiving, pick/pack, Foothold, sewing, inflation, and packaging. In processing materials or manufacturing products in industrial organization by performing the following duties personally or through subordinate supervisors.
Essential Duties & Responsibilities

- Reviews sales orders and production schedule to ascertain product data such as types, quantities, and specifications of products and scheduled delivery dates in order to plan department operations.
- Assist with perpetual inventory process
- Plans shipping operations, establishing priorities and sequences for deliveries and product out the door.
- Prepares operational schedules and coordinates shipping and packaging activities to ensure shipping timelines meets specifications.
- Reviews shipping and operating reports and resolves operational problems to ensure minimum costs and prevent operational delays.
- Inspects machines and equipment to ensure specific operational performance and optimum utilization
- Develops or revises standard operational and working practices and observes workers to ensure compliance with standards.
- Resolves worker grievances or submits unsettled grievances to Human Resources for action
- Compiles, stores, and retrieves production data
- Develop and implement KPI’s for distribution center
- Forecasts data to determine department progress toward stated goals and objectives
- Prepares reports, spreadsheets, and presentations.
- Prepares reviews on operational metrics to be presented quarterly to Executive Leadership. This should include current operating status, gaps, fixes to gaps as well as strategic future planning.

Qualifications
Education and/or Experience
- Bachelor’s degree (B.S.) or equivalent from four-year college or technical school
- 4-5 years of previous Distribution Center management experience
- Previous perpetual inventory experience

- Language skills: Ability to read, analyze, and interpret the most complex documents. Ability to respond effectively to the most sensitive inquiries or complaints. Ability to make effective and persuasive speeches and presentations on controversial or complex topics to top management, public group, and/or boards of directors.
- Mathematical skills: Ability to work with mathematical concepts.
- Reasoning: Ability to define problems, collect data, establish facts and draw valid conclusions. Ability to interpret an extensive variety of information.
- Computer skills: Knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite
