Our high-end Import / Design Company known for its vast offerings of fine natural stone and artisan tile has an opportunity for an A&D Sales Consultant to join our showroom sales team. The ideal person will be a highly motivated, energetic self-starter who is goal oriented with a strong record of successful sales. Your primary responsibilities are to forge strong client relationships and identify new opportunities, while staying ahead of market trends. You will service Architectural and Interior Design firms, Custom Home Builders, Contractors, and Homeowners in specifying and selecting interior and exterior hard surface materials for both residential and commercial projects in our showroom.
Responsibilities
· Develop new relationships with architects, interior designers, builders, contractors, and homeowners.
· Advise clients on products and design related to function, color schemes, and color coordination.
· Identify project activity at the design firm level early in the design process.
· Use strong design and technical skills to assist clients to make decisions.
· Develop repeat sales, new relationships, and future business.
· Drive sales to meet and exceed monthly sales goals.
· Administer sales process to ensure timely, accurate, and profitable completion of sales.
· Expand product knowledge and develop sales skills.
· Promptly handle walk-in clients, scheduled appointments, and sales calls.
· Provide accurate and expert information.
· Prepare material estimates and quotes.
· Process sales and purchase orders.
· Interface with vendors to resolve product issues.
· Provide exceptional customer service both during the sales process and follow-up after installation.
· Participate in in-store industry association/networking events.
· Network within professional organizations by attending meetings and events.
Requirements
At our Company, we feel that each staff member, including yourself, should be knowledgeable about your clients needs and the products you represent. As an A&D Sales Consultant/Designer you must meet the following requirements:
· Degree in Interior Design preferred, but not required.
· Minimum (2-5) years of relevant work experience is required.
· Greater than (3-5) years of relevant work experience in the Tile, Natural Stone, Building Materials industries is strongly preferred.
· Work with architects, interior designers, builders, and contractors to maintain existing relationships and establish new accounts.
· Highly motivated to meet or exceed sales goals.
· Sales and negotiation skills to close deals and drive revenue.
· In-depth knowledge of the architectural and design industry.
· Knowledge of logistics and supply chain.
· Excellent time management skills.
· Ability to multitask across several projects.
· Proven ability to meet deadlines.
· Excellent math skills.
· Exceptional problem-solving skills.
· Proven showroom-based sales success.
Compensation package: Base salary and commission, plus bonus opportunities.
The salary range for this position is $60,000 - $120,000 per year, including commission. Actual compensation will be based on multiple factors that are unique to each candidate.
Schedule: Monday through Friday. 8-hour shift. Full time. Occasional Saturday work required.
