We're looking for an experienced Electrician to take charge of leading our installation team on commercial solar construction projects. This position involves overseeing and coordinating all tasks at the worksite, including managing a crew of electricians, apprentices, and laborers. The Electrician will be responsible for setting and adjusting project timelines to align with construction schedules, as well as organizing and handling all necessary materials and equipment. Ensuring that all installations meet standards, along with industry regulations, codes, and project plans, is a critical part of the role.
Key responsibilities include:
- Leading and executing electrical tasks as part of a team
- Reading and interpreting construction blueprints and specifications.
- Assigning tasks and projects to team members and external contractors.
- Conducting quality inspections to ensure compliance with company standards.
- Diagnosing and troubleshooting electrical system issues using appropriate tools and techniques.
- Managing project materials and equipment logistics.
- Providing regular updates on project status to supervisors, site engineers, and other stakeholders.
- Leading by example in promoting safety and quality on the job site.
- Addressing and resolving any job-related issues promptly, ensuring that all project deficiencies are corrected quickly.
Qualifications:
- High School Diploma or equivalent; vocational training in a related field is preferred.
- At least 2-3 years of experience as a lead electrician in commercial construction.
- OSHA 30 certification.
- Flexibility to travel and work full-time at active construction sites, including weekends and holidays.
- A valid driver’s license with a clean driving record.
- In-depth knowledge of the latest NEC regulations.
Preferred skills:
- Experience with PV installations.
- CDL license.
- Mechanical aptitude.
- Journeyman or Master Electrician certification.
