Position Overview:
The Insurance Service Coordinator partners with several departments; Underwriting, Agency, Account Services and Product Development to maintain accounts and support new business development with a focus on excellent internal and external customer service. This position is designed to grow with the organization and provides an opportunity to work closely with customers. Successful Insurance Service Coordinators are deadline driven, process focused, and have a strong desire to learn the specialty insurance business and apply that knowledge for the success of the enterprise.
Essential Functions:
- Perform a required high volume of insurance-related tasks within required timeframes to meet assigned deadlines
- Collaborate with Underwriting team using problem-solving service capacity
- Adapt to change; respond to customers and internal business partners with a sense of urgency
- Completion of policy verification, updating changes, monthly renewal set-up, creating policies, and Acord form creation
Knowledge, Skills, Abilities:
- Basic knowledge of Underwriting; Conceptual knowledge of Property Casualty Insurance Operations
- Process driven; policy verification, updating changes, monthly renewals set-up, creating policies, and Acord form creation
- Strong Computer skills. Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite
- Critical thinking and problem solving; Analytical ability
- Customer focus with a service mindset
- Detail oriented; delivers work on-time
- Self- starter; quick learner, organized
- Team oriented; creates positive working relationships
Job Requirements:
Required:
- High School Diploma or GED
- Must be legally authorized to work in the United States without the need for employer sponsorship, now or at any time in the future
Preferred:
- 3-5 years in Customer Service role within property and casualty insurance company, agency, or brokerage
- Producers License
Work environment & Physical Demands
- Inside climate-controlled office building
- Ability to lift 25lbs
