Escrow Officer- Full Time (In-Office)- Confidential

Salary: $43,000-56,000 Depending on experience

We are seeking a dependable and professional Closing Officer who embodies our mission of community focus and commitment to excellence. The ideal candidate will have at least three (3) years of experience and will understand escrow standards, title clearance, real estate regulations and guidelines, and document preparation.
This role requires an individual with excellent critical thinking and problem-solving skills, capable of exercising independent judgment during the escrow process. The Closing Officer will work collaboratively with team members and uphold the values of integrity, respect, and exceptional service to ensure a smooth escrow process for our clients.
Duties & Responsibilities:
- Manage all closing files within the branch assigned, ensuring timely and accurate processing.
- Prepare and Process closings, including purchase, construction, 1031 exchange, refinance, land contract, and cash transactions.
- Order all necessary documents to close each transaction, including loan documents and mortgage payoffs.
- Complete documents within our production system for each transaction
- Collaborate with the title department to resolve title issues such as legal descriptions, easements, lot splits, vesting, federal tax liens, bankruptcies, boundary disputes, and encroachments.
- Delegate appropriate tasks to escrow assistants while supervising the overall workflow.
- Follow company standards and practices when processing transactions, ensuring compliance with applicable state laws and guidelines.
- Coordinate the closing between the parties involved.
- Ensure all client communications, including calls, voicemails, and emails, are returned promptly.
- Engage in continued learning opportunities, including participating in webinars and seminars and reviewing underwriting bulletins pertinent to the role.
- Perform other duties as assigned by the supervisor, adhering to company policies and guidelines.
Qualifications:
- Experience: Minimum three (3) years of escrow experience required.
- Education: A high school diploma is required.
- Certifications/Licenses: Must be a Notary Public.
- Knowledge: Understanding of escrow standards, title clearance, real estate regulations, guidelines, and document preparation.
