Korn Ferry has been exclusively retained to search for a Cloud Architect for our client based in Dallas, Tx. This individual will play a crucial role in the application, configuration, maintenance, and support of their cloud network and various other cloud services. This individual will apply the organization’s cloud strategy from a technical perspective, including design, planning, integration, maintenance, and support of cloud architecture. They will support the development and execution of the cloud working strategy within the organization’s existing IT infrastructure.
Essential Functions:
- Deploy and configure cloud networking services such as AWS Virtual Private Cloud (VPC), Azure Virtual Network (VNet), Google Cloud Virtual Private Cloud (VPC), Azure ExpressRoutes, AWS DirectConnect, and Google Cloud Interconnect.
- Perform network integration work to support hybrid or multi-cloud models, such as connecting a private cloud Data Center with Cisco’s ACI with AWS, Azure, or Google Cloud.
- Manage and maintain connectivity between on-premises data center environments and cloud infrastructure.
- Collaborate with DevOps and development teams to automate network provisioning, configuration, and deployment using Infrastructure as Code (IaC) tools such as Terraform or AWS CloudFormation.
- Monitor the usage, performance, and availability of the hybrid and cloud network infrastructure and its services.
- Support the architecture, design, implementation, and compliance efforts for effective security, including the administration of firewalls and other security appliances.
- Provide specifications and detailed schematics for network architecture including MOPs (Method of Procedure Document) and project plans.
- Occasionally lead projects or project steps within a broader project or have accountability for ongoing activities or objectives and the work of small project teams.
- Implement security best practices to protect cloud network infrastructure from cyber threats and unauthorized access.
- Perform evaluations, recommendations, and implementations from an on-premises and cloud network perspective.
Minimum Qualifications:
Education/Experience:
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Information Technology, or related field, with eight (8) years of experience in an enterprise support role and relevant experience with software or appliances used in network systems, including at least 1 year of experience in building Cloud Solutions. A Master’s degree is preferred.
- Require one or more of the following certifications or licensing: CCNP, CCNA, CCIE, ITIL, JNCIE, CISSP, SP, JNCIP, AWS Certified Solutions Architect, AWS Certified Advanced Networking, Google Cloud Professional Cloud Network Engineer, or Microsoft Certified: Azure Solutions Architect Expert, Palo Alto PCNSE.
Knowledge, Skills, & Abilities:
- Deep knowledge of networking protocols such as TCP/IP and BGP.
- Knowledge of scripting languages (e.g., Python, PowerShell) for automation and infrastructure management.
- Knowledge of network management, monitoring, and troubleshooting.
- Knowledge of integration for hybrid multi-cloud deployments.
- Knowledge of network security, including VPNs and firewalls.
- Experience in systems migration to the cloud.
- Strong project management and solutions development skills.
