Position Summary
A career in Information Security will provide the opportunity to develop, plan, design, and execute the company's cybersecurity program, including Information Technology (IT) and Operational Technology (OT). This includes implementing security controls, defenses, and countermeasures to intercept and prevent internal or external attacks or attempts to infiltrate company email, data, e-commerce, and web-based systems. These roles research attempted or successful efforts to compromise systems security and design countermeasures. They maintain hardware, software and network firewalls and encryption protocols; administer security policies to control physical and virtual access to systems; provide information to management regarding the negative impact on the business caused by theft, destruction, alteration or denial of access to information and systems. Additional activities include cyber risk functions such as governance, risk, and compliance (GRC) activities to coordinate with business units and other critical stakeholders on cyber risk assessments, 3rd party security reviews, and internal and external audits.
Essential Functions:
- Performing moderate design tasks
- Preparing portions of project documents and reports for senior management and risk committees,
- Editing specifications and performing research and investigations
- Developing broad knowledge and skills in a specific practice area
- Maintain and revise cybersecurity program including the administration and maintenance of information security policies, programs, and procedures. Ensures fulfillment of information security
- Work on diverse team (legal, process control engineers, IT, audit, IT compliance) on cybersecurity around critical infrastructure systems. Team creates programs, policies, and resources to prove proactive cybersecurity compliance and maturity.
- Collaboratively using judgment to determine adaptations in methods for non-routine aspects of assignments
- Provide subject mater expertise for small and large projects.
- Prepare, coordinate and support audits conducted by internal resources, consultants or regulatory organizations.
- Foundational knowledge and understanding of cyber security risk concepts and principles, audit, as a means of relating business needs to security controls.
- Experience with common information security management frameworks, such as NIST Cybersecurity Framework and the Oil and Natural Gas Subsector
Required Skills:
- Proficiency in performing risk, business impact, control and vulnerability assessments.
- Demonstrated effectiveness in building relationships with diverse groups.
- Experience developing and implementing new or significantly revised programs.
- Exceptional teamwork and interpersonal skills to aid in the resolution of issues.
- Superior analytical abilities involving complex problems; Ability to exercise sound judgment.
- Technical expertise in Microsoft Office - Outlook, Excel, PowerPoint, and Word. Foudational knowledge in Sharepoint and PowerBI
- Experience in developing, documenting and maintaining security policies, processes, procedures and standards.
Qualifications
Required Background:
- Bachelor’s degree with 2 years of relevant experience, or;
- Master’s degree with 0 years of relevant experience.
- Equivalent work experience may be considered in lieu of degree.

Compensation Range:
$81,750 - 130,800
We are committed to pay transparency and ensuring equitability compensation for all employees. The pay range for this position reflects the base salary only and does not include benefits, bonuses, or other forms of compensation that might be part of the total compensation package. The specific salary offered will be based on a candidate’s qualifications, education, and experience.
