Job Summary:
The Business Development Manager will spearhead the growth and expansion efforts within the commercial furniture sector. This role is pivotal in identifying new business opportunities, forging strategic partnerships, and driving sales in a highly competitive market. The ideal candidate will have extensive experience in the commercial furniture industry, particularly in business development, sales, and client relationship management, with a proven ability to create and implement successful market entry strategies.
Key Responsibilities:
- Strategic Market Development: Develop and implement a robust business development strategy to expand market share within the commercial furniture sector, targeting corporate clients, interior designers, architects, and property developers.
- Client Acquisition & Relationship Management: Identify and secure new business opportunities by building strong, long-term relationships with key decision-makers. Ensure the highest level of client satisfaction through personalized service and tailored solutions.
- Sales Leadership: Lead the sales process from prospecting to closing, including developing proposals, negotiating contracts, and ensuring successful project delivery. Meet and exceed sales targets through proactive client engagement and strategic planning.
- Industry Expertise & Product Knowledge: Stay ahead of industry trends, including the latest product innovations and design concepts. Educate clients on product offerings and collaborate with the design and production teams to meet client specifications.
- Data-Driven Decision Making: Analyze market trends, sales data, and client feedback to refine business strategies and identify new opportunities for growth.
- Collaboration & Teamwork: Work closely with internal teams, including marketing, design, and logistics, to ensure seamless project execution and client satisfaction.
Ideal Experience:
- Industry Experience: 7-10+ years of business development or sales experience in the commercial furniture industry, with a focus on high-end or custom furniture solutions Ideally.
- Proven Track Record: Demonstrated success in driving revenue growth and expanding market presence within the commercial furniture sector.
- Client Relationship Building: Extensive experience in developing and maintaining relationships with corporate clients, interior designers, architects, and property developers.
- Strategic Thinking: Strong background in creating and executing business development strategies that result in significant market expansion and increased revenue.
- Advanced Negotiation Skills: Expertise in negotiating complex deals and contracts, ensuring mutually beneficial outcomes for the company and clients.
- Education: Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Marketing, or a related field. An MBA or equivalent advanced degree is preferred.
