Job Overview – Business Analyst
HUB International is rapidly expanding our digital and product offerings and technology solutions and is seeking a motivated, detail-oriented, critical thinker and problem solver to support mission-critical, enterprise-changing programs and projects to support our strategic goals.
The Enterprise Solution Specialist will primarily be responsible for organizing and supporting the development of all enterprise-grade projects and product solutions from conception to completion and overseeing and managing all enterprise-grade projects and product solutions from conception to completion. Working similarly to a technical program manager, you will help high-performing teams on mission-critical, enterprise-changing data and analytics initiatives. As a member of our development team, you collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure project success and product implementation. The Enterprise Solution Specialist will be a natural leader with a strong talent for project coordination, execution, and delegation. This position is a key role that facilitates improving the development process across the Data and Analytics organization.
The Enterprise Solution Specialist ensures customer, business, and technology needs are understood, defined, and executed through successful process and technology solutions. In this role, you are expected to develop trusted partnerships with business and technology leaders and provide a variety of analytical capabilities that contribute to the design and delivery of technology-enabled business solutions, including managing demand, working with business counterparts to develop solutions, and taking ambiguous products and turning them into well-run operations that create meaningful value both for the product owner and the business.
In this role, you will rely on your experience and judgment to manage and accomplish the goals of multiple, concurrent strategic and operational initiatives. You’ll demonstrate a mindset of critical thinking, continuous improvement, and self-direction, and contribute to developing HUB’s product analysis and operational effectiveness capabilities. A wide degree of creativity and latitude to achieve these goals is expected. Additionally, you may provide analytical, organizational, and coordination expertise to support strategic programs, critical initiatives, and business objectives as needed.

In This Role, You’ll Get To:
- Support the design and development of strategic, highly visible, and complex programs to expand HUB’s data-driven solutions,
- Build collaborative relationships with business stakeholders, data architects, data engineers, data visualization developers, and product owners on cross-functional teams to understand and support HUB’s strategic goals and business priorities,
- Analyzing complex data systems, applications, and flow to develop conceptual, logical, and physical data models to meet minimally viable product agreements,
- Develop an in-depth understanding of HUB's business goals to plan and execute an effective program delivery strategy,
- Provide leadership and motivation to program team members across multiple simultaneous initiatives,
- Collaborate with multiple business and technology teams to ensure goals, scope, objectives, priorities, key results, and standards of quality are clearly understood,
- Manage program teams for optimal return-on-investment, and coordinate and delegate cross-project initiatives,
- Present to key stakeholders, including executives, project teams, and vendors, communicating critical information and actionable insights to the right stakeholders at the right time,
- Work with other program managers to identify risks and opportunities across multiple projects within the department,
- Support the development of the data and analytics program management framework, including policies, standards, processes, and tools, and the advancement of organizational agility and capabilities across both agile and plan-driven delivery approaches,
- Develop program assessment protocols for evaluation and improvement,
- Understand and anticipate the priorities of the business through building productive working relationships with HUB business colleagues,
- Assisting in the development of automated processes for data mining, modeling, and enrichment,
- Communicating issues, risks, and concerns proactively to management and engage colleagues while working in a hybrid Agile/Scrum process,
- Provide other analytical and organizational support to the CTO organization, as required,
We want someone who has:
- At least 3 years of experience leading and supporting highly visible and complex strategic initiatives for data or digital technology programs and product offerings,
- Passion for delivering value to business partners and end-users, with a customer-centric mindset that anticipates business needs and responds positively to feedback,
- Established track record for successfully delivering multiple simultaneous programs of varied scope, size, and end-user impacts. Ability to identify and resolve unforeseen problems that could arise in a program,
- Ability to lead and motivate others, demonstrating empathy and knowledge of personality types, with a desire to help teammates succeed and develop.
- Proficiency and propensity for servant leadership, facilitation, situational awareness, problem-solving, conflict resolution, team empowerment, and transparency,
- Demonstrated ability to collaborate and communicate proficiently (both verbally and in writing) with internal and external teams, across all layers of the organization, including virtual team members across multiple time zones,
- Experience managing multiple executive and business stakeholders, with strong presentation and persuasion skills, ability to adjust the message to the audience, and explain complex concepts in easily understood ways,
- Experience in a PMO or a software/data and analytics development team,
- Highly organized, with considerable experience in agile and plan-driven (waterfall) delivery methodologies,
- Familiar with MS Power Platform, MS Project, Azure DevOps, Miro, LucidChart, Canny, SharePoint, and Microsoft Office tools,
- Business process design, business analysis, or change management experience is a plus,
- Insurance background is a plus,
- PMP certification is a plus,
- Desire to learn.
Education and Qualifications:
- Bachelor's Degree in IT, Business, Finance, or related field AND 1+ years of data and analytics experience
- OR Relevant certifications from Microsoft or competitive platforms
- 5+ years of relevant work experience
- Required Travel: 1-4x per year to Chicago, IL
- Full-Time
- Exempt
Although hybrid Chicago is preferred, this role may consider remote candidates.
