Their team in Austin is growing, and they're seeking an experienced Engineering Manager to lead, grow, and direct multiple teams to success.
As the Engineering Manager for Embedded Systems, you will be responsible for leading a team of highly skilled engineers in the design, development, and delivery of advanced Embedded solutions for automotive applications.
You will play a critical role in driving the technical direction, ensuring project timelines are met, and fostering a culture of excellence within the team. This is a unique opportunity to impact the future of the Automotive industry while working in a dynamic and collaborative environment.
Key Responsibilities:
- Lead and mentor multiple teams focusing on Embedded systems whilst fostering a collaborative and innovative work environment.
- Oversee the planning, execution, and delivery of embedded systems projects, ensuring they meet technical, quality, and schedule objectives.
- Drive team growth through internal progression and recruitment activities.
- Drive the adoption of new technologies and methodologies to continuously improve the development process and product performance.
- Manage the budget for the engineering team, ensuring that resources are allocated effectively to meet project goals.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, or a related field.
- Minimum of 5 years of experience in Embedded systems development, with at least 5 years in a leadership role.
- Strong project management skills with a track record of successfully delivering complex engineering projects on time and within budget.
- Excellent leadership and communication skills, with the ability to inspire and motivate a team.
- In-depth knowledge of Embedded software development, real-time operating systems (RTOS), and microcontroller/microprocessor architectures.
- Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to think strategically about technology and its impact on the business.
- Experience working to Safety-critical standards, automotive preferred/ Medical, Aerospace, Aviation, and Rail are also accepted)
