Job Description
Mandatory skills: Vendor Management, Contract Management, Acquisition, Program Management, Telecommunications
Responsibilities:
Circuit Bandwidth Calculation: Determines required circuit bandwidth based on network architecture, application requirements, and performance targets.
PTP Options Definition: Reviews network architecture and engineering requirements to identify and define optimal Point-to-Point (PTP) termination options for Points of Presence (POPs) and network devices.
RFP Development and Vendor Management: Creates Request for Proposals (RFPs) or opportunities, sends them to telecom vendors, and evaluates proposals based on pricing, route, Service Level Agreements (SLAs), and lead time.
Procurement and Order Management: Secures necessary approvals for selected proposals, prepares and sends order forms to the chosen telecom vendor, and manages the procurement process.
Cross-Functional Collaboration: Works closely with internal and external teams to address non-standard implementations, resolve issues, provide project updates, and support the Service Delivery team in timely circuit delivery.
Documentation Management: Ensures that all relevant documentation, including circuit specifications, orders, and project records, is up-to-date and accurate.
Required Skills and Experience:
Strong understanding of network architecture, protocols, and circuit engineering principles.
Proficiency in bandwidth calculation and network performance analysis.
Experience in developing RFPs and managing vendor relationships.
Excellent project management and organizational skills.
Strong problem-solving and analytical abilities.
