A prestigious national law firm with an office in the Bay Area is seeking a highly organized and detail-oriented Docketing Specialist to join their team. The ideal candidate will excel in a fast-paced environment and possess a strong ability to manage multiple tasks with precision and efficiency. This role is essential to ensuring the accuracy and timeliness of all docket-related processes within the firm.
Responsibilities:
- Deliver exceptional customer service and communication with internal and external stakeholders.
- Handle a high volume of document processing while maintaining superior quality standards.
- Perform efficient Quality Control (QC) to ensure accuracy and compliance with firm protocols.
- Utilize court rules, dockets, and other resources to assist in the effective processing of legal documents.
- Demonstrate strong attention to detail and problem-solving abilities.
- Apply analytical skills to identify and address potential issues promptly.
- Operate proficiently within specific docketing and third-party software systems.
- Maintain comprehensive knowledge of the firm's calendaring procedures and systems, including CompuLaw Vision, CompuLaw Web Portal, and Docket & Calendar Workflow.
- Assume additional tasks and responsibilities as directed by management.
Essential Functions:
- Exhibit a keen eye for detail, with the ability to learn quickly, multitask, and work independently in a high-pressure department.
- Conduct thorough research using resource guides, rule codes, authorities, and various court websites.
- Communicate promptly and clearly via email and phone with attorneys, secretaries, and paralegals regarding matter calendars and court procedures.
- Adapt to changing department procedures as necessary, demonstrating flexibility and a proactive approach.
- Ensure accuracy and attention to detail in all tasks performed.
- Demonstrate reliability and dependability, with daily attendance being critical.
Qualifications:
- Previous experience in a legal environment or similar role is preferred.
- Strong computer skills, with proficiency in docketing software.
- Excellent communication and customer service skills.
- Ability to work independently and manage multiple tasks with a high degree of accuracy.
- Knowledge of court procedures and legal documentation processes is a plus.
