Summary:
We are seeking a dynamic and experienced General Manager (GM). This role is critical for spearheading operational excellence, driving a culture of continuous improvement, and achieving strategic objectives. The General Manager will play a pivotal role in transitioning the site following its recent acquisition, aiming for significant growth and integration into the broader global organizational framework. The successful candidate will bring a demonstrated track record in culture change, drastic change management, talent management and leadership within a fast-paced, innovative medical device contract manufacturing environment.
Responsibilities:
- Strategic Leadership: Develop and execute a strategic roadmap in alignment with corporate objectives, focusing on Culture Change, Operational Excellence, and Financial Performance.
- Operational Management: Oversee day-to-day operations, mature processes, development of metrics, ensure safety, quality, delivery, and cost objectives are met. This includes direct involvement in the "win the day" meetings to review and adjust operational strategies in real-time.
- Change Management: Drive organizational change, fostering a culture of Accountability, Agility, Innovation, and Continuous Improvement as well as Implementing a daily management system and developing a strong leadership team to support growth and operational excellence.
- Financial Oversight: Manage the site's financial performance, including P&L responsibilities, ensuring the achievement of financial targets.
- Stakeholder Engagement: Develop productive relationships with key customers, especially transitioning relationships with significant clients, and ensure alignment with executive leadership on strategic objectives.
- Team Development: Focus on talent development, succession planning, creating a culture of accountability and creating a positive work environment that attracts and retains top talent.
Education and Experience:
- Bachelor's degree in Engineering or related technical field of study.
- 10 to 15 years of relevant experience, preferably with a strong background in production management or a general management role within the manufacturing sector.
- Proven experience in the orthopedic industry or related fields, with expertise in technologies such as milling and turning processes. Instrument manufacturing experience is a plus.
- 100% onsite role
- Travel less than 10%
