Are you ready to lead a team that oversees construction and compliance for new clean energy projects for the state? California Energy Commission (CEC) is hiring a Compliance, Monitoring, and Enforcement Supervisor within the Safety & Reliability Branch of the Siting, Transmission, and Environment Protection (STEP) Division.
The Compliance, Monitoring, and Enforcement Supervisor will serve as the highest-level resource specialist and perform technical work relating to public utilities along with a variety of supervisory, program evaluation, planning, and policy analyses. Our next Supervisorwill plan, organize, and direct project managers in the review and analysis of energy facility compliance policies, power plant amendment projects, enforcement of conditions of certification, and other policy issues related to the Siting, Transmission, and Environmental Protection Division’s compliance, monitoring, and enforcement program.
** Telework option is available, but hired candidate must reside in California before starting
Desirable Qualifications:
- Leading teams comprised of professional staff engaged in project management, environmental and engineering analysis.
- Excellent writing and editing skills.
- Ensuring quality control measures are in place and deadlines are met.
- Convey technical information to a level of understanding for the general public
- Presenting before government agencies and the general public.
- Performing analysis of power plant amendments, enforcement and construction.
Minimum Qualifications
- Five years of progressively responsible technical energy experience in electric generation system planning, design, evaluation, or operation.
- Bachelor’s degree – (Additional experience may be substituted for the required education on a year-for-year basis.)
