Position Summary -
The Senior EDI-NS Specialist will be responsible for (a) understand and implement retailer EDI specifications effectively and (b) managing full-cycle NetSuite improvement projects across Order to Cash, Inventory and Pay to Procure streams. The candidate would be the Net Suite admin and will possess expert-level knowledge in Electronic Data Interchange (EDI) with a focus on handling EDI specifications of retail accounts such as Walmart, Target, Amazon, JCPenney, Kohls, Meijer, HEB, and others. Proficiency in configuring True Commerce software to align with the specific needs of retail accounts is essential.
Responsibilities -
Net Suite Responsibilities:
- NetSuite Implementation and Enhancement: Lead full-cycle NetSuite improvement projects, from requirements gathering to implementation and post-implementation support.
- Process Analysis: Analyze existing business processes across Order to Cash and Pay to Procure streams to identify areas for improvement and optimization using NetSuite functionality.
- System Configuration: Configure NetSuite modules and features to align with business requirements, ensuring efficient workflows and data integrity.
- Customization: Develop and implement customizations, scripts, workflows, and saved searches as needed to enhance the NetSuite platform and meet specific business needs.
- EDI Integration: Oversee EDI integrations with customers, ensuring seamless data exchange and compliance with EDI standards (e.g., ANSI X12, EDIFACT).
- Testing and Validation: Conduct thorough testing of NetSuite configurations, customizations, and EDI integrations to ensure accuracy, reliability, and compliance with business requirements.
- Training and Documentation: Provide training and support to end-users on NetSuite functionality, processes, and best practices. Create and maintain comprehensive documentation of configurations, customizations, and procedures.
- Collaboration: Collaborate with cross-functional teams including IT, finance, operations, and customer service to ensure alignment of NetSuite solutions with business goals and requirements.
- Troubleshooting and Support: Troubleshoot issues related to NetSuite functionality, configurations, and integrations, providing timely resolution and support to end-users.
EDI Responsibilities:
- EDI Specification Analysis: Analyze and understand the EDI specifications provided by retail accounts including JC Penny, Kohls, Meijer, HEB, Walmart, Target and Amazon.
- Configuration Management: Configure True Commerce software to meet the unique EDI requirements of different retail accounts.
- EDI Mapping: Develop, maintain, and update EDI maps to ensure seamless communication between trading partners.
- EDI Document Management: Manage various EDI documents including purchase orders, invoices, advance ship notices (ASNs), and others according to each retailer's specifications.
- Testing and Validation: Conduct thorough testing of EDI transactions to ensure compliance with retailer requirements and troubleshoot any issues that arise during testing phases.
- Collaboration: Collaborate with internal teams and external partners including retailers, vendors, and EDI service providers to resolve EDI-related issues and optimize EDI processes.
- Documentation: Create and maintain comprehensive documentation of EDI specifications, configurations, mapping rules, and procedures for reference purposes.
- Training: Provide training and support to internal stakeholders on EDI processes, protocols, and systems.
- Compliance Monitoring: Stay updated with changes in retailer EDI specifications and ensure compliance with industry standards and best practices.
This Could Be You If -
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, or related field.
NetSuite:
- Minimum of 7 years of experience implementing and configuring NetSuite ERP
- Proficiency in NetSuite SuiteScript, SuiteFlow, SuiteBuilder, and SuiteAnalytics.
- Strong understanding of Order to Cash and Pay to Procure business processes.
EDI:
- Minimum of 7 years of experience in EDI implementation and management
- Expertise in handling EDI specifications of retail accounts such as JC Penny, Kohls, Meijer, HEB, Walmart, Target, etc.
- Strong understanding of ANSI X12 and EDIFACT standards
- Experience with EDI integration platforms and standards (e.g., TrueCommerce, SPS Commerce).
- Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.Effective communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously and prioritize tasks effectively.
- Detail-oriented with strong organizational skills.
Ideal -
- NetSuite certification (e.g., SuiteFoundation, Administrator, ERP Consultant).
- Experience with other ERP systems and integration technologies.
- Knowledge of SQL and relational databases.
- Previous experience in a consulting role.

The salary range for this role is $90,000.00 - $130,000.00 annually, plus eligible for an annual target bonus prorated from the start date. This is the lowest to highest salary we in good faith, believe we would pay for this role at the time of this posting. An employee’s pay position within the wage range will be based on several factors including, but limited to, relevant education, qualifications, certifications, experience, skills, seniority, geographic location, performance, sales or revenue-based metrics, and business or organizational needs. This compensation range may
also be modified in the future.
