Role: Manufacturing Engineer
Location: Indianapolis, IN 46219 (Onsite)
Duration: 12 months (Contract to Possible Extension/Hire)
Pay Rate: $45-60.00/hr W2 (without benefits and no paid vacations)
Shift hour: 1st Shift (Onsite)

Key requirements:
* Experience in technical writing and development of detailed work instructions for assembly and rework operations.
* Experience using 3D CAD programs (PTC Creo preferred) to create production drawings from model.
* Familiarity with ASME Y14-series standards (including Y14.5 GD&T) and experience reading and interpreting assembly drawings.
* Interviews will be in person at the Indianapolis location
* Must be a U.S. Citizen with the ability to obtain clearance
* Strong Mechanical Aptitude
The Production Support Engineer will support the maturation of a hardware integration program and the evolution of associated production processes through development of technical work instructions and hands-on trouble-shooting. Engineer will assist in process development, design workstation/cell, generate work instructions, and scale operations based on program needs and evolution. Additionally, this professional may advise design engineers on Design for Manufacturing (DFM) and other production-related matters. Work environment will be a hybrid between office environment and industrial manufacturing floor.
• Must be a US Citizen with ability to pass a criminal background check (active possession or eligibility to obtain a DoD Secret Clearance preferred)
Required Skills:
• Experience in technical writing and development of detailed work instructions for assembly and rework operations.
• Experience using ERP platforms to generate production routings (SAP S/4HANA preferred)
• Experience using 3D CAD programs (PTC Creo preferred) to create production drawings from model.
• Familiarity with ASME Y14-series standards (including Y14.5 GD&T) and experience reading and interpreting assembly drawings.
• Experience Designing/Developing Tooling, Fixturing, Jigs, and support structures for assembly operations
• Strong mechanical aptitude and math skills (linear algebra, trigonometry)
• Ability to lift up to 40 lbs.
Desired Experience & Skills:
• 5-10 years of experience as an engineer in general assembly manufacturing or industrial machine/fabrication shop (experience in AS9100 aerospace manufacturing a plus)
• Experience using PDM suites (Windchill preferred) to manage production process documents
• Familiarity with National Industry Standards such as ASME, ASTM, SAE standards, and MIL-STDs in regards to fabrication, assembly, and testing procedures and requirements (Ability to Reference, Interpret, and integrate into detailed work instructions)
• Conceptual Familiarity with electrical and hydraulic systems preferred
