POSITION SUMMARY

The HVAC installer will be responsible for installation of new heating and cooling systems and ensuring all systems work properly within the client's location. Duties will include removal of existing equipment, installation of new equipment including connections to existing electrical, gas, ductwork, and water, and demonstrate superb interpersonal skills.

OBJECTIVES
- HVAC Installation: Install heating, ventilation, and air conditioning systems, including furnaces, air conditioners, heat pumps, ductwork, and thermostats, ensuring proper sizing, placement, and configuration.
- Piping and Ductwork: Fabricate and install piping and ductwork for HVAC systems, ensuring proper alignment, sealing, and insulation to maximize efficiency and performance.
- Equipment Setup: Set up and test HVAC equipment and components, including condensing units, thermostats, and air handling units, to ensure proper operation and functionality.
- Safety Compliance: Adhere to safety protocols and procedures to maintain a safe work environment, including the proper handling of tools, equipment, and materials, and compliance with OSHA and other regulatory requirements.
- Quality Assurance: Inspect installations for quality and compliance with specifications, codes, and regulations, making adjustments or corrections as needed to ensure customer satisfaction.
- Customer Interaction: Interact with residential clients in a professional and courteous manner, answering questions, providing explanations, and addressing concerns related to HVAC installations.
- Documentation: Maintain accurate records of installation activities, including work performed, materials used, and time spent, ensuring compliance with company policies and procedures.
- Continuing Education: Stay updated on industry trends, technologies, and best practices through training and professional development opportunities.
- Team Collaboration: Work collaboratively with other installers, technicians, and support staff to ensure efficient installation processes and customer satisfaction.

EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE
- GED or high school diploma preferred
- EPA 608 Universal Certification
- At least 2 years’ work experience in a HVAC specific role with hands on installation of furnaces, air conditioners and/or boilers
PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS
- This is a highly active job. You will be at the client’s location and on your feet most of the day. You may be moving equipment which weights over 150 lbs. You will be working on a team. You will be working in both hot and cold temperatures. You may be on a roof or in a basement.
