Packman, Neuwahl, and Rosenberg, P.A. seeks an on-site Legal Assistant in our Immigration Department. Located in Miami, Florida, our immigration group specializes in employment and family-based immigration law.
The job requires answering phones, greeting visitors, and maintaining contact with clients on a daily basis. The person in this position will be responsible for managing and operating internal systems, including but not limited to scheduling, calendaring, copying, shipping, mail distribution, billing, database maintenance and file maintenance. He or she will use Google Docs, Microsoft Office (e.g., Outlook, Excel, Word), Adobe Acrobat, and immigration case management software.
In addition, we are offering an opportunity for the right candidate to gain valuable knowledge in preparing immigration cases and in immigration law generally. The right candidate will draft cover letters and prepare immigration forms and assist the group in preparing immigration application packets.
The ideal candidate will meet the following requirements:
- Fluent in English and Spanish
- At least 2 years of work experience (preferably with an immigration law firm)
- Proficient in Microsoft Office (Outlook, Word, Excel) and Adobe Acrobat
- Strong attention to detail
- Excellent writing skills
- Strong interpersonal, communication, and organizational skills
