Title: Warehouse Support Specialist/Warehouse Associate
Type: Temp-to-Hire
Location: Kent, WA – or – Renton, WA (On-site)
Hourly/Contract Rate: $20 - $28/hour (depending on relevant industry experience)
Summary:
Our client is looking for several Warehouse Support Specialists and a Warehouse Associate to join their exciting team! Using manual counting and technology, this position maintains accurate storage data, conducts product shipping and receiving tasks, and follows company standards of safety, security, and productivity while maintaining the warehouse in a client-ready condition.
Responsibilities:
- Accurately track and record time spent on main tasks and total hours worked.
- Accurately complete the necessary paperwork for data entry and inventory counting and/or adjustments.
- Prepare and store products in a safe and organized manner.
- Support and accurately report physical inventories when required.
- Shipping/Receiving – Load and unload products in a safe and efficient manner.
- Diligently and thoroughly inspect all received products for damage and take necessary action if damage is indicated.
- Support the order-picking process accurately and safely.
- Ensure proficient and safe operation of all material handling equipment.
- Support the Supervisor for all warehouse development, improvements, and expansion service capabilities of the company.
- Report and assist in the correction of any observed quality or safety-related issues.
- Perform any warehouse-related function that may be required to achieve customer acceptance and satisfaction.
- Perform warehouse-related training as determined by the Warehouse Supervisor.
- Support the Supervisor in the development and training of new hires in warehouse operations.
- Support the Supervisor in the development and maintenance of warehouse performance metrics.
- Support Field Operations as required.
Requirements/Qualifications:
- High School Diploma or GED.
- 2+ years of experience in a warehouse support or warehouse associate role.
- Valid WA Driver’s License and a reliable means of transportation.
- Inventory management experience in a warehouse or construction environment.
- Experience with Snaptracker or other inventory/asset management software (strongly preferred).
- Knowledge of CN3 Scanner or CN70 Mobile Computer (strongly preferred).
- Customer service experience with external clients and other internal teams
- Hands-on knowledge of office furniture products or other business furniture systems.
- OSHA or other safety training.
- Forklift operation experience (Forklift licensed - Current - is preferred).
- Shipping and receiving experience.
- Warehouse reporting experience.
- Data entry proficiency.
- Performance Metrics experience.
- Facilities Operations experience.
- Facility Management (FM) experience.
- Warehouse Operations experience.
- Warehouse Management Systems (WMS) experience.
- Ability to effectively communicate verbally and in writing with various levels of internal and external management while maintaining a professional demeanor.
- Experience and knowledge of the daily use of hand and power tools.
- Ability to lift and/or move up to 35 pounds, frequently lift and/or move up to 50 pounds, and occasionally lift and/or move more than 100 pounds with assistance.
