Our customer is an established and growing business who provide automated solutions to the heavy goods distribution market, and they are now seeking additional field service technicians to ensure they are responding quickly to maintenance issues at their customer sites in Illinois and the surrounding states.
Their equipment includes automated high-bay storage cranes which can pick goods from thousands of locations among the racking, systems which are generally PLC-controlled, and have a number of drives, photoeyes, gears, motors, pneumatics, hydraulics and more.
As a Field Service Technician, you will be responsible for travelling to customer sites to perform both troubleshooting and preventative and corrective maintenance/repair of the mechatronic systems as well as working closely with customers to suggest parts upgrades or even identify opportunities for modernization of the automated systems.
What will you need to be considered?
- Experience working as a maintenance technician or field service technician with a multiskilled background of mechanical, electrical or mechatronic troubleshooting/repair.
- Exposure to automated storage and retrieval (ASRS) cranes would set your resume a head and shoulders above others.
- Strong experience with power tools and instrumentation such as multimeters.
- Industrial PLC troubleshooting would be beneficial.
- Willingness to travel 100%.
