The Role:
We have an immediate need for a talented Senior Configuration Management Specialist to join our team. This role involves ownership of document control processes and training throughout the product lifecycle, from development through sustaining and end-of-life phases. As a Senior Configuration Management Specialist, you will play a crucial role in ensuring consistent and accurate configuration control in line with our ISO 9001 Quality Management System. You will also become the subject matter expert (SME) for our MRP/ERP system, with a focus on process optimization, standardization, and best practices. This position requires strong collaboration and communication skills, as you will work closely with other functional groups and project managers in a matrix
Key Responsibilities:
- Serve as the Subject Matter Expert for Configuration Management.
- Own and manage the change order process, ensuring all requirements are met.
- Optimize the process for releasing product configurations into the ERP system.
- Develop and deliver training tools for users of the process.
- Act as a representative in implementing an enterprise-wide ERP system.
- Lead and refine configuration management processes and procedures.
- Track and report on change orders throughout their lifecycle.
- Maintain the product configuration identification system (part numbering, naming conventions, etc.).
- Ensure controlled engineering documentation meets company and ISO 9001 standards.
- Provide clear and accurate communication to internal customers and ERP users.
- Support and maintain activities related to engineering documentation and change requests.
Job Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in engineering or related field.
- experience in a manufacturing/engineering environment with MRP/ERP systems.
- Experience in managing complex hardware/software product configurations.
- Proven track record in process development and improvement.
- Strong knowledge of Good Documentation Practices (GDP) in manufacturing.
- Preferred experience with SAP S4 Hana and ISO 9001:2015.
- Experience working in an ISO 9001:2015 environment.
- Computer literate with expertise in Microsoft Office, Adobe Acrobat, and Quality Systems (i.e. Document Management System, Quality Management System).
- Detail-oriented, self-motivated, and able to manage multiple tasks in a fast-paced environment.
