The institute provides targeted academic support and enrichment services to maximize the full potential of immigrant children in school and beyond, while also developing a Navigator Program for comprehensive immigrant services.
Role Description
This is a contract hybrid role for an Afterschool Program Teacher at IFSI. We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced educator to join our Afternoon Program, aimed at building a foundation for students to achieve elite-level exam results.
The ideal candidate will be responsible for lesson planning, education, communication, and teaching. be passionate about education and possess the necessary skills to foster academic excellence in students. The role is primarily located in Boston, MA, with flexibility for some remote planning. With a student-to-teacher ratio of 1:15, our program is designed to provide individualized attention and tailored instruction to maximize student potential
Qualifications
- Lesson Planning and Education skills
- Effective Communication and Teaching abilities
- Ability to quickly learn and adapt to new educational technologies
- Experience working with multicultural or immigrant populations
- Strong ability to analyze and interpret data on student performance
- Strong organizational and time-management skills
- Bachelor's degree in Education or related field
- Teaching certification or licensure
- Familiar with online educational platforms such as Khan Academy, IXL, Albert.io, DESE, Edgenuity, Quizlet, Shmoop, and Study.com
