Wed love to learn more about you.The Difference Maker hired for this position must have:-Current LPN or RN licensure in the State of Florida-Experience and proficiency in electronic medical records (EMR)-Excellent customer service and teamwork-Superior communication skills-Experience working in a behavioral health setting is preferred but we are willing to train somebody eager to make a difference!The responsibilities of this position include, but are not limited to:-Patient care, including assessment of pain, use and education of pain management techniques-Performing appropriate crisis modalities for patient behavior, which requires redirecting, including those who wish to leave treatment against medical advice-Following the five medication rights and reducing the potential for medication errors-Formulating, implementing and evaluating patient treatment plans, including family, when appropriate-Functioning as a patient and family advocate at all times, treating patients and families with respect and dignity and providing emotional support-Educating patients and families concerning treatment and medication plans, compliance and side effects-Accurate transcription of doctors orders, completing lab requisitions, pharmacy ordering and pharmacology testing-Signing out controlled substances, documenting and reporting effects of scheduled and PRN medications; completing narcotic count with proper documentation-Performing anatomical assessments and other duties within the scope of practice, including urine collection for toxicology testing-Ensuring documentation meets current standards and policies-Communication and good working relationship with team leader, co-workers and doctorsIt will be beneficial to have:-Knowledge or experience in a wide range of disorders, including cognitive, emotional, developmental, social and behavioral; crisis intervention as needed-Experience working in behavioral health and/or substance abuse preferred-Excellent communication and documentation skillsComputer skillsAvailable Schedules:AM shift: 7 a.m.7:30 p.m.-Saturday, Sunday, Monday-Thursday, Friday, SaturdayPM shift: 7 p.m. 7:30 a.m.-Wednesday, Thursday, Friday-Thursday, Saturday, Sunday
