Pay Range OR Rate: 39.35 - 54.10
Terms of Contract: Long-Term Contract
PTO and Holiday Pay are offered.
Travel: 90% travel.
90% of time is spent at the supplier facilities.
Logistics Quality Specialist II
Position Scope:
Provides onsite Supplier Logistics production support to assure the supplier’s logistical line side delivery performance in series by using efficient problem-solving processes.
Position Responsibilities:
Guarantee supplier's launch and series capability by completing logistical qualification activities in the PEP (Product Development Process).
Represents in high-stress production critical situations.
Examples:
Supplier caused production to stop.
Air freight (daily/hourly)
Quality issues, logistics failures, supply chain failures, natural disasters, labor issues, and priority issues.
Ensures that the company has a higher priority than other OEMs (Original Equipment Manufacturing).
Represents the company and maintains professional relationships with Suppliers, especially in high-stress situations.
Establishes working networks with peers and Management to ensure assignment effectiveness.
Provides transparency via assigning measures to Suppliers, by maintaining a list of open points and creating PowerPoint presentations.
Organizes effective meetings, provides directions, and follows through to ensure measures are met.
In the event of an emergency, may be required to assume the Supplier Logistics tasks: Logistics Planning, Production Planning, Material Control, Inventory analysis, Logistics Manager, or any other Logistics task as delegated by the Section Manager, Supply Chain Quality/Planning.
Self-directed to carry out assigned project responsibilities and meet all deliverables within the designated deadlines.
Performs other duties as assigned by the Operations Supervisor.
Position Competencies:
Education:
BA/BS degree in Supply Chain Management, Logistics, or Psychology or the equivalent of 4 years of experience in the related area preferably in a manufacturing environment.
Experience:
4+ years’ experience in Logistics to include issue resolution in the following areas:
Supply Chain Planning
Material Requirements Planning (MRP)
Material Control
Production Control
Warehouse Operations
Receiving operations
VPS
Lean Manufacturing
Returnable container management
JIS WoW and Transportation planning
Expert = verbal and written communication skills.
Expert = degree of flexibility, initiative, and self-motivation.
Advanced = on-site experience steering Logistics improvements at Suppliers, while developing successful working relationships under stressful conditions.
Advanced = experience with Supplier qualification tool RGA/RMT, LOPA, and Launch teams.
Advanced = knowledge of the following systems: SAP, SCQ Ample, LPKM, GIS, and B2B.
Advanced = experience with Wrong Delivery Mislabeling analysis and issue resolution at Suppliers including the L-FMEA approach.
Advanced = experience interacting in the extended logistics cross-section function within the Group and other plants.
Advanced = Microsoft Office, including PowerPoint and Excel application knowledge
