What You Will Do:
As a Senior Project Engineer, you will be responsible for managing the design and engineering of warehouse development projects. Your key responsibilities will include:
· Managing the development, implementation, and evaluation of complex designs.
· Overseeing construction and commissioning from a design perspective to ensure project completion as efficiently and effectively as possible.
· Evaluating and improving changes that significantly impact the scope, budget, or schedule of a project.
· Monitoring the engineering process to ensure adherence to quality and Total Cost of Ownership.
· Ensuring compliance with applicable codes, practices, QA/QC policies, performance standards, and specifications.
· Providing input on project outcomes and resolving escalated issues in collaboration with other departments.
· Offering life-cycle engineering support to existing warehouses.
· Proactively sharing knowledge with peers and using your expertise to achieve departmental goals.
· Supporting Business Development initiatives.
Who We Are Looking For:
· B.S. in Civil, Mechanical, or Electrical Engineering; a Master's Degree is preferred.
· At least 7+ years of project experience in logistics real estate.
· Experience in coordinating with internal and external engineering teams.
· Based in the Chicago metropolitan area and able to work from our Chicago office.
· Comfortable working in an international and dynamic work environment
