Job Description
Position Overview: The Workday Project Manager will be a key internal advocate and leader for the successful implementation of Workday’s Time, Attendance, and Scheduling modules. This role involves working closely with external system implementors and internal stakeholders to ensure that the solutions are tailored to our global operations and warehouse environments.
Key Responsibilities:
Project Oversight:
- Act as the internal project lead for the implementation of Workday’s Time, Attendance, and Scheduling modules.
- Provide input to overall project plans, including scope, timelines, and resource allocation.
- Coordinate with external system implementors to ensure alignment with project goals and requirements.
Collaboration & Coordination:
- Serve as the primary liaison between the company and system implementors, ensuring clear communication and effective collaboration.
- Facilitate meetings and workshops with implementors, internal stakeholders, and subject matter experts to gather requirements and resolve issues.
- Manage and track project progress, addressing any deviations from the plan and ensuring timely resolution of issues.
Configuration & Customization:
- Oversee the configuration and customization of Workday modules to fit organizational needs, particularly in relation to global warehouse operations.
- Ensure proper integration with existing systems, such as payroll and HR systems.
- Work closely with implementors to address and troubleshoot technical issues as they arise.
Training & Change Management:
- Oversee the development and implementation of a training plan for end-users and managers and HR, ensuring effective knowledge transfer and system adoption.
- Support change management efforts to facilitate smooth transitions and user acceptance.
- Ensure the creation of comprehensive documentation for system processes, configurations, and user guides.
Quality Assurance & Compliance:
- Ensure that the implementation meets all relevant regulations, company policies, and industry standards.
- Coordinate end user testing to validate system performance and accuracy.
- Stay informed about Workday updates and best practices to ensure optimal system use and continuous improvement.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Information Technology, Human Resources, or a related field.
- 5+ years of experience managing global Workday projects, specifically with Time, Attendance, and Scheduling modules.
- Experience working with external system implementors and managing global implementations.
- Strong understanding of timekeeping and scheduling needs in pack-and-ship warehouse environments.
- Proven ability to manage complex projects, coordinate across multiple teams, and deliver results on time and within budget.
- Excellent communication, leadership, and problem-solving skills.
- Knowledge of global compliance and labor laws is a plus.
