The Infrastructure Service Architect will be responsible for the overall architecture and design of the organization’s infrastructure and services. This role involves the creation of new infrastructure services, managing capacity planning, and overseeing asset management. The Infrastructure Service Architect will also define documentation and runbooks for support teams and act as an escalation point for complex issues.
This position requires being in the office from Monday to Thursday, but as a flexible company, we can accommodate situations that arise.
Key Responsibilities:
Architecture & Design:
- Oversee the architecture and design of infrastructure services.
- Develop and implement scalable, reliable, and cost-effective infrastructure solutions.
- Ensure alignment of infrastructure strategies with business objectives and technical requirements.
Service Management:
- Lead the design and implementation of new infrastructure services.
- Manage the lifecycle of infrastructure services, from inception to retirement.
- Develop and maintain capacity plans to ensure the infrastructure can support current and future business needs.
- Leading problem management initiatives across all aspects of service delivery.
Lifecycle Management:
- Oversee asset management processes, ensuring accurate tracking of infrastructure assets.
- Implement best practices for asset lifecycle management, including procurement, maintenance, and disposal.
Documentation & Runbooks:
- Create and maintain comprehensive documentation for infrastructure services.
- Develop runbooks to guide support teams in routine and emergency scenarios.
- Ensure documentation is up to date and accessible to relevant stakeholders.
Support & Escalation:
- Serve as an escalation point for complex infrastructure issues.
- Provide technical expertise and guidance to support teams.
- Coordinate with other IT teams to resolve critical incidents and problems.
Collaboration & Communication:
- Work closely with stakeholders to understand business requirements and translate them into technical solutions.
- Collaborate with other IT and business teams to ensure seamless integration of infrastructure services.
- Communicate effectively with senior management, providing regular updates on infrastructure projects and initiatives.
Continuous Improvement:
- Stay current with emerging technologies and industry trends.
- Identify opportunities for process improvements and implement best practices.
- Lead initiatives to enhance the performance, security, and reliability of infrastructure services.
Qualifications:
- 8 years of experience in infrastructure design, architecture, and service management.
- Proven experience in managing largescale infrastructure projects.
- Strong understanding of Azure or AWS, VMware, Security best practices, networking, and storage technologies.
- Experience with infrastructure monitoring and management tools.
- Excellent problem solving and analytical skills.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Bachelor’s degree in computer science, Information Technology, or a related field or relevant experience.
