DescriptionPosition SummaryTo maintain the nursing staff in all areas as well as to deliver safe efficient age specific nursing care to patient/families.
Essential Functions- Routinely provide patient care.
- Collaborate with the interdisciplinary team.
- Maintains employee records.
- Identifies needs for and provides Staff education/staff development.
- Participates in Discharge planning, community resource referrals, and education.
- Committee involvement, participate in quality improvement initiatives.
- Oversees daily operations of unit/area in a cost-effective manner.
- Involved in Community outreach activities as pertinent Initiates and maintains positive relationships with patients/customers and co-workers.
- Takes responsibility for self-development and supports a learning environment.
- Displays commitment to the mission and values of the organization.

- Must abide by all requirements to safely and securely maintain Protected Health Information (PHI) for our patients. Annual training, the UH Code of Conduct and UH policies and procedures are in place to address appropriate use of PHI in the workplace.
QualificationsQualifications
Education
- (ADN) Associate's Degree in Nursing required and
- (BSN) Bachelor's Degree in Nursing within 2 years of hire date required or
- (MSN) Master's Degree in Nursing within 2 years of hire date required
Work Experience
- 1+ years clinical experience required. Emergency Services experience strongly preferred.

- PC and computer applications required.
Licenses and Certifications
- Registered Nurse (RN) in the State of Ohio required and
- Basic Life Support (BLS) required or obtained within orientation
Additional Licenses and Certifications
- Certification in a specialty clinical area or leadership required within 2 years
- ALS & PALS may be required based on area s requirements or obtained in nursing orientation
