Project Recruit has partnered with a multidisciplinary legal practice dedicated to delivering superior client service, and responding to the changing needs and growth of their clients and seeks a senior bankruptcy associate. The firm has a very collaborative environment and takes pride in mentoring associates within the firm. The firm is seeking a bright, energetic, and hard-working litigation associate.
RESPONSIBILITIES:
A significant portion of the workload will include defending public entities in Tort Claim matters, as well as §1983 Civil Rights litigation. This work will consist of the following responsibilities:
- Drafting discovery demands and working with clients to respond to discovery.
- Research and drafting in connection with motion practice.
- Defending and taking depositions of parties, witnesses, and experts.
- Working with medical providers, including experts.
- Appearances in state and federal courts.
QUALIFICATIONS:
- Proven ability to manage multiple cases and deadlines effectively
- Exceptional analytical, organizational, and problem-solving abilities
- Superior academic credentials
- Exceptional research, writing, and communication skills
- Must be bar admitted in the state of New Jersey
- Must have New Jersey State court experience (federal court experience is a plus, but not required)
