Portfolio Program Associate (San Jose)
Seeking a deeply technical person to support a portfolio of entrepreneurs. The Portfolio Program Associate will apply deep technical knowledge, partnerships building, and program management skills to the core investment areas of focus in Industry 5.0, Mobility, Robotics, Computing & Connectivity and Healthtech. This is an exciting opportunity to work with an industry recognized, top-tier Corporate Venture Capital fund in Silicon Valley.
Responsibilities
Reporting to Portfolio Program Director, the Portfolio Program Associate will work
closely with the team to engage with startups (portfolio companies) and support partnerships. The goal is to explore, identify and secure mutual value creation between the portfolio companies and the internal teams. This position’s responsibilities will include but are not limited to:
• Develop a solid knowledge of startups that the company invests in, including their core competencies, business, technology roadmap, partnerships requirements and explore and identify synergistic opportunities.
• Enable strategic partnerships between Portfolio Companies and with the internal teams with
proactive program management, timely documentation of project status, next steps
and timely follow-ups to bring highly appreciated value.
• Support Portfolio Program team in timely updates to Portfolio company briefings and other activities as needed.
Qualifications

• Have an advanced degree in Electrical Engineering, Applied Physics or a related field
• Have a demonstrated ability to understand deeply the core technologies in the fields
mentioned
• Are confident switching between different technologies and adapting to new
challenges
• Have experience enabling partnerships or working on technical projects with multiple
stakeholders
• Are detail oriented and a self-starter with great initiative
Requirements
• A PhD in Electrical Engineering, Applied Physics or a related field
• 2-4 years’ work experience in a technical project or program management role, post
PhD
• Candidates with an advanced degree less than a PhD and with similar experience
may be considered for an Analyst role
Compensation
This position is based in San Jose, CA and the starting annual base pay for this role is
between USD 116,000 and 160,000. The actual base pay is dependent upon many
factors, such as: education, training, transferable skills, work experience, business
needs, work location, market demands, etc. The base pay range is subject to change
and may be modified in the future. The role may also be eligible for variable bonus
programs and benefits.
