Role Description
This is a full-time on-site role located in Los Angeles, CA for a Construction Estimator. The Construction Estimator will be responsible for day-to-day tasks including construction estimating, quantity take-offs, cost management, communication, and budgeting.
Responsibilities:
- Prepare material quantity surveys for projects.
- Solicit subcontractor bids.
- Review and assist in writing subcontract scopes.
- Prepare/Assist and update project budgets.
- Develop project schedules.
- Maintaining logs
- Maintain historic project cost data.
- Assist purchasing as needed.
- Create subcontractor scopes of work for bid.
- Assist with other construction management tasks, as needed.
Qualifications
- A minimum of 4-5 years of industry experience.
- Construction Estimating and Quantity Take-offs skills
- Cost Management and Budgeting skills
- Excellent communication skills
- Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities
- Attention to detail and accuracy
- Ability to work well under pressure and meet deadlines
- Experience in the construction industry
- Experience using Microsoft Office, Bluebeam, and Procore
- Must be physically able to perform job walks and maneuver around an active construction site
- Bachelor's degree in Construction Management or related field
