We are seeking a motivated and detail-oriented Procurement and Logistics Coordinator to join our team. This entry-level role is ideal for someone looking to start a career in the seafood industry, with a focus on procurement, supply chain, and logistics management. You will play a key role in ensuring that our products are sourced efficiently, transported effectively, and delivered on time to our customers.
Procurement Support:
- Assist in sourcing high-quality seafood products from local and international suppliers.
- Maintain and update supplier databases, including pricing, lead times, and product availability.
- Support the negotiation of purchase terms, including pricing, delivery schedules, and payment terms.
Logistics Coordination:
- Coordinate the transportation and delivery of seafood products from suppliers to our warehouses.
- Monitor shipments to ensure timely delivery and address any issues that arise during transit.
- Work closely with freight forwarders, shipping companies, and customs brokers to manage import/export processes.
Inventory Management:
- Assist in tracking inventory levels and ensuring optimal stock levels are maintained.
- Update and manage inventory records in the company’s database.
- Support the planning and execution of stock replenishment orders.
Documentation and Compliance:
- Prepare and process purchase orders, invoices, shipping documents, and customs declarations.
- Ensure all procurement and logistics activities comply with local and international regulations, including health and safety standards.
- Maintain accurate records of all transactions and communications with suppliers and logistics partners.
Communication and Collaboration:
- Communicate effectively with suppliers, logistics partners, and internal teams to ensure smooth operations.
- Collaborate with the sales team to align procurement and logistics activities with customer demand.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree is a MUST
- Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
- Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal, in English.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Excel
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and manage multiple tasks simultaneously.
- Knowledge of procurement and logistics processes is a plus, but not required.
- Experience with SAP a plus, but not required
