Title: Thermal Abuse Test Technician
Location: Palo Alto, CA
Duration: 6-month contract (possibility for conversion)
Pay Rate: $40 - $47/hr

Required Skills and Experience *
- Familiar with hand tools, power tools, and machining experience
- Minimum 2 years of hands on experience in a lab, production, or field setting
- Electrical and/or thermal fundamentals
- Ability to collaborate and build test rigs to specifications
- Troubleshooting skills and experience
- Flexibility to work in south bay area sites
Nice to Have Skills and Experience
- Battery cell/module/pack level experience
- Experience with data acquisition systems
- National Instruments DAQ, LabVIEW
- Welding, fabrication, design experience
- Experience with module or pack level teardowns and inspections

Job Description *
Insight Global is looking for an experienced technician to support or lead testing in module thermal abuse and safety testing for one of our largest automotive clients in the Bay Area. This person will be assisting in module, pack, and unit level thermal abuse testing on all battery products. They will also be responsible for leading instrumentation, set up article for execution and perform detailed posttest analysis on tested articles. Testing outcomes would dictate major design and manufacturing decisions on products to uphold the thermal abuse safety requirements.
