Based out of their state-of-the-art technology center in Rancho Santa Margarita, Palomar Products is looking to hire a innovative Electrical Engineering Manager to bring to life a whole new range of audio technology products.
Salary: $175-200k – Depending on Experience
Work Schedule: 9/80 – every other Friday off
Key Responsibilities of the Electrical Engineering Manager
- Lead the creation of new products, processes, and technologies through research and prototyping, serving as the system architect to deliver innovative solutions.
- Develop and execute early stage R&D strategies and product roadmaps aligned with business goals, identifying emerging and innovative technologies and market opportunities.
- Cultivate a high-performing R&D team by developing, mentoring, and fostering a culture of innovation and collaboration.
- Manage R&D projects to ensure they are completed on time, within budget, and aligned with the company’s annual plan.
- Adhere to strict quality standards for R&D outputs, ensuring compliance with aerospace and defense best practices and regulatory requirements.
- Safeguard and manage the company’s intellectual property, including patents and trade secrets, to maintain a competitive edge.
- Oversee budgets, prioritizing projects based on strategic value and potential ROI, while monitoring resource use.
Experience and Qualifications required for the Electrical Engineering Manager
- B.S. in Electrical Engineering or a related field.
- 10+ years of experience in designing embedded systems hardware and firmware for mission-critical systems (medical/military/aerospace).
- Proven leadership in successful R&D/NPI projects within a regulated industry.
- Experience mentoring engineers, enhancing their skills, and establishing standard work practices.
- Proficient in system architecture, design, and integration.
