Maintenance Technician
*Must have prior maintenance experience in a production or industrial setting*

Position: Maintenance Technician
Location: Owatonna, MN
Type: Full-time Direct Hire
Hours: Sunday- Tuesday (Nights)
Pay: Starting at $25/hr. and up based on experience
Job Summary:
As a Maintenance Technician, you'll be the backbone of our client's operations, ensuring that equipment and facilities are in top-notch condition. From performing preventative maintenance to troubleshooting and repairs, your mechanical and electrical expertise will be put to the test every day.
Responsibilities:
- Inventory and control stock of supplies using a computerized maintenance program.
- Specify equipment for upgrades and repairs.
- Perform preventive maintenance tasks such as lubrication, dismantling, and cleaning of parts, overhead hoists, and conveyor belts.
- Demonstrate general fabrication skills including welding, torch operations, and following simple blueprints.
- Read and understand blueprints and wiring diagrams for diagnosing mechanical and electrical problems.
- Disassemble and diagnose mechanical and electrical failures, performing necessary repairs.
- Design layout and installation of plumbing projects.
- Install machines and troubleshoot without direct supervision.
- Adhere to safety protocols and use approved safety equipment.
- Follow Business Process Documentation and actively contribute to Continuous Improvement efforts.
Skills and Abilities:
- Lathe and mill experience is helpful.
- Maintain effective working relationships.
- Ability to read, write, and understand work instructions in English.
- Knowledge of power tools.
- Ability to take supervision and work effectively in a team.
- Welding experience with ARC, MIG & TIG.
- Ability to ready blueprints and diagrams.
- Disassemble and diagnose equipment.
Education/Certification:
- High school diploma or equivalent GED required.
- Bachelor’s degree or vocational training (preferred)
- 4 years of related experience (preferred)
