POSITION DESCRIPTION:
Support product development by playing a crucial role in ensuring the quality, reliability, and functionality of products. Work closely with industrial designers, project managers, and other stakeholders to develop and execute comprehensive product test plans. This individual needs to be passionate about quality, possess excellent problem-solving skills, and have a keen eye for detail.
ROLES & RESPONSIBILITIES:
Test Planning:
- Develop comprehensive test plans for various new product projects.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure test coverage aligns with project requirements.
Test Case Design:
- Create detailed and effective test cases based on product specifications.
- Review and update test cases to adapt to evolving project requirements.
Test Execution:
- Execute manual and automated tests to validate product functionality.
- Investigate and document issues, collaborating with product managers and industrial designers for timely resolution.
Automation Development:
- Design, develop, and maintain automated tests for product quality testing.
- Continuously enhance automation frameworks to improve efficiency and coverage.
Performance Testing:
- Conduct performance testing to identify bottlenecks and ensure scalability.
- Analyze and report performance metrics, contributing to product optimization efforts.
Integration Testing:
- Verify seamless integration of new or updated product components through rigorous testing.
- Collaborate with product development teams to address integration challenges and ensure smooth functionality.
Defect Tracking:
- Document and prioritize product defects, working closely with industrial designers to facilitate resolution.
- Maintain accurate records of testing activities and results for future reference.
Continuous Improvement:
- Identify opportunities to enhance testing processes and methodologies.
- Stay abreast of industry best practices and implement improvements to the testing lifecycle.
Collaboration:
- Foster effective communication and collaboration with product development and product design teams.
- Participate in regular meetings to provide testing updates and gather feedback.
Documentation:
- Create and maintain clear and concise documentation for testing processes.
- Develop and update user guides and training materials for internal and external stakeholders.
SKILLS & EXPERIENCE:
- Bachelor’s degree in Engineering or a related field.
- Proven experience as a Test Engineer or in a similar role.
- Strong understanding of product testing methodologies, tools, and processes.
- Proficiency in SolidWorks.
- Solid understanding of the product development lifecycle and manufacturing processes.
- Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Strong communication and collaboration skills.
