Job Summary:
As the Manager of Fleet & Capital Asset Procurement & Remarketing, you will play a crucial role in managing the acquisition and disposition of company assets. You will be responsible for coordinating the procurement process, managing, and developing supplier relationships, developing, and optimizing equipment specifications, and ensuring timely acquisition and disposition of company assets implementing best practices to minimize total cost of ownership (TCO). This role requires strong organizational skills, attention to detail, and the ability to collaborate with various stakeholders to optimize asset performance.
Primary Duties and Responsibilities:
- Source and negotiate with suppliers to obtain quality products, competitive pricing and favorable terms and conditions for acquisition and disposition of company assets.
- Cultivate and maintain relationships with users, manufacturers, suppliers, leasing companies and remarketing vendors.
- Lead specification development, collaborating with internal stakeholders and suppliers to ensure safe, fit for purpose, and reliable equipment is provided for our operators.
- Prepares and presents comparative analysis of specifications, products, services, and pricing to all levels of the organization.
- Coordinates the purchasing process, including award, PO issuance, financing, upfitting, delivery, initial title and registration, and insurance to ensure the delivery of work ready equipment to your customers.
- Evaluates asset conditions and market conditions to determine optimal sales approach.
- Manages the disposition of assets through multiple channels including auction, wholesale, private party, and insurance.
- Maintains accurate documentation for all transactions.
Qualifications:
3-5 years of procurement or remarketing experience in a decentralized organization.
Excellent negotiation, communication, and people skills, with the ability to build and maintain effective relationships with internal teams and external partners.
Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities, with a focus on data-driven decision-making. Knowledge of regulatory requirements and industry standards governing fleet operations and vehicle remarketing.
Proficiency in fleet management software, inventory tracking systems, and Microsoft Office Suite. Willingness to travel 25-35%
