Director, Peptides Formulation

Our client is seeking a skilled professional to lead and drive innovation in peptide delivery and pharmaceutical formulation development. This role involves providing scientific expertise, hands-on leadership, and strategic direction to advance peptide formulation technologies from early-stage research through clinical development.
Primary Responsibilities:
- Offer strategic insight and leadership in identifying and implementing cutting-edge technologies for peptide delivery systems and formulation innovations.
- Lead the development of peptide formulations from lead optimization through clinical stages, with a focus on pre-formulation research, formulation development, and process design.
- Provide technical leadership and oversight of formulation projects, including those outsourced to CDMOs and external testing labs.
- Manage all pre-formulation and research-related formulation activities.
Qualifications:
- PhD in a relevant scientific field with at least 10 years of experience in small molecule, biologics, or peptide formulation and pre-formulation development.
- Expertise in drug delivery systems aimed at enhancing peptide bioavailability, particularly for oral routes.
- Extensive knowledge of drug delivery systems designed to improve peptide bioavailability, particularly for oral administration.
- Experience in the formulation and process development of peptides, including injectable and controlled-release systems.
