About the Role:
Job Title: Assembly Technician/ Assembler/ Assembly Line Worker/ Assembly Specialist/ Assembly Worker/ Electronic Assembler/ Mechanical Assembler/ Final Assembly
Key Responsibilities:
- Collaboration with Design Teams:
◦ Work closely with design engineers to understand product specifications and requirements.
◦ Provide feedback on the design for manufacturability (DFM) and suggest improvements to enhance the assembly process.
◦ Develop and optimize assembly processes for new drone products.
◦ Implement efficient manufacturing workflows, considering cost-effectiveness and quality standards.
◦ Collaborate with cross-functional teams to integrate new technologies and processes.
- Prototyping and Validation:
◦ Oversee the creation of prototypes for new drone models.
◦ Conduct thorough testing and validation of assembly processes to identify and resolve potential issues.
◦ Establish quality control measures to ensure products meet or exceed specifications.
◦ Implement and monitor rigorous quality assurance protocols throughout the process.
- Supply Chain Coordination:
◦ Work closely with the supply chain team to ensure the timely availability of components for drone products.
◦ Identify and address any supply chain issues that may impact production schedules.
◦ Monitor and analyze key performance indicators to identify areas for improvement.
◦ Implement continuous improvement initiatives to enhance efficiency, reduce costs, and improve overall product quality.
Requirements:
- Background in Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, or a related field.
- Proven experience in NPI engineering, preferably in the drone or aerospace industry.
- Strong understanding of manufacturing processes and assembly techniques.
- Familiarity with design for manufacturability (DFM) principles.
- Excellent problem-solving and troubleshooting skills.
- Effective communication and collaboration skills.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced, dynamic environment.
Location: Seattle, WA (Onsite - 5 days/week)
Salary Range: $59,000 - $74,000 Annually - Factors that may affect pay within this range may include geography/market, skills, education, experience, and other qualifications of the successful candidate.
