The primary goal of this position is to support the effective implementation of the district s multi-tiered system of supports (MTSS) model and vision. The training and tools unique to the school psychologist will be used to actively review the fidelity of the implementation of MTSS at school sites, including the identification of students, delivery of Tier II and Tier III interventions and progress monitoring, as well as helping to establish data collection and analysis procedures preK-12 to inform decision-making. The secondary roles of this position will be to support building-based school psychologists with conducting evaluations, observations, Functional-Behavioral Assessments (FBA s) and Behavioral Intervention Plans (BIP s).
- Work collaboratively with district administrators, school-based leadership teams, teachers, and the community to facilitate the implementation of MTSS at the district and school levels.
- Coach school sites on analyzing student needs and identifying research-based interventions across academics, behavior, and social-emotional learning.
- Compile and report on the effectiveness of academic and behavioral interventions quarterly.
- Assist with the design, implementation, and support of professional learning experiences for the implementation of MTSS for school-based and district staff.
- Administer tests and recommend placement for all exceptional and new students as designated.
- Maintain case records on all referred students.
