Air Liquide Large Industries provides our customers with industrial gas and energy solutions that are vital to their own industrial production. We own and operate over 2,000 miles of industrial gas pipelines in the U.S. supplying mainly oxygen, nitrogen, hydrogen and syngas in large quantities from multiple production sources to major customers in the chemicals, petrochemicals, refining and steel industries.
How will you CONTRIBUTE and GROW?
The Plant Manager - CoGen & Utilities ensures safe and reliable operation of the CoGen, IWTC and Demin plants at the Bayport Complex.
● Ensures safe and reliable operation of the CoGen, IWTC and Demin plants at the Bayport
complex, including QMS requirements, developing/implementing effective improvement programs and developing the skills/competencies of personnel
● Complies with regulatory requirements
● Operates facility in compliance with all governmental regulations and Air Liquide policies
● Maintains all necessary boiler licenses and air permits
● Provides all regulatory training; maintains documentation
● Reports and investigates all incidents; ensures corrective actions are complete
● Develops/implements programs to ensure management systems/processes exist to conduct effective HSE self audits, and drive toward "zero" HSE violations
● Meets or exceeds company safety standards
● Implements and maintains the Life Critical system
● Owns key operating documents; maintains updated red-lines at all times; displays detailed understanding of content and significance of each document
● Makes plant/process decisions; performs process troubleshooting
● Fosters positive customer relationships
● Delivers quality and quantity of product required by the business and customers
● Partners with the Maintenance Center to execute predictive/preventive maintenance to eliminate catastrophic failures and unplanned maintenance
● Sets/maintains high housekeeping standards to exemplify and improve the Air Liquide image
● Keeps plant hazard analysis current; displays thorough knowledge of possible hazards and associated safeguards
● Adheres to Management of Change procedure
● Models exemplary safety behavior; leads by personal example

● Provides training/coaching to improve performance
● Provides candid constructive input to management decisions; actively support those decisions

Are you a MATCH?
● Bachelor’s degree in Engineering required
● 5+ years process industry experience. Equivalent combination of education and experience acceptable
● Operating experience and proven track record for operational improvement and managing personnel required
● Technical/working understanding of the plant processes in any of the following technologies: ASU, Syngas, Cogen, or CO2.
● Familiarity with regulatory requirements for operating plants, including Process Safety Management, OSHA regulations, EPA regulations, EEOC guidelines, FDA regulations (where applicable), state/local requirements
● Participate in root cause analysis investigations
● Computer literacy- familiarity with MS Office package or equivalent Google software package; Able to remotely access company Intranet; ability to use internal systems such as Maximo, Oracle, Intelex, and Workday.
● Trainable on Distributed Process Control (DCS) operation/troubleshooting
● Able to deliver/explain training material to operating personnel
● Extremely organized; effective at time management; able to establish/maintain a plant filing system and control of engineering documents; ability to read and red-line key operating documents
● Displays mechanical and electrical aptitude for equipment operation/troubleshooting.
● Working knowledge of commercial agreements and AL customer relations
● Excellent communication and team leadership skills
● General understanding of accounting principles; working knowledge of plant operating budget
