Our client is seeking an experienced Senior Process Engineer to join their team. This pivotal role involves setting up, monitoring, and enhancing manufacturing processes to drive key performance indicators such as quality, reliability, cost, yield, process stability, productivity, and safety. As a Senior Process Engineer, you will play a crucial role in ensuring the efficiency and effectiveness of our manufacturing operations while mentoring junior-level professionals. Essential Duties and Responsibilities (but not limited to):
- Oversee and optimize key manufacturing processes, updating procedures as necessary to improve efficiency and performance.
- Lead continuous improvement projects by presenting problem statements and executing key elements to drive operational excellence.
- Collaborate with Quality and Facilities teams to establish and implement preventive maintenance plans for equipment.
- Monitor process outputs using statistical process controls (SPC) and take preventive measures to address process drift.
- Provide critical information and updates to customers and customer-facing stakeholders as required.
- Maintain and oversee the execution of OCAP (Out of Control Action Plan) procedures.
- Recommend capital expenditures and contribute to return on investment analyses to support informed decision-making.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in Engineering or Science from an accredited institution, with 10 years of experience demonstrating career growth.
- Extensive experience in a high-tech manufacturing environment (i.e.., semiconductors, aerospace, medical), with a deep understanding of PCB and module-level manufacturing equipment.
- Proven ability to analyze manufacturing processes for continuous improvement and identify quality enhancement opportunities.
- Strong analytical skills with the capability to collect and interpret data for data-driven decision-making.
- Experience in implementing process monitoring KPIs, such as statistical process controls.
- Background in New Product Introduction (NPI) environments and transitioning designs to production.
- In-depth knowledge of military standards used in semiconductor manufacturing (i.e., Mil-883, Mil-750, IPC-610).
- Experience working in an ISO 9001 environment (AS9100 is strongly desired).
- Proven success in rapidly changing and growing environments.
- Ability to interpret engineering drawings and translate them into effective manufacturing processes.
- Experience in automation and programming implementation.
- Exceptional presentation skills with the ability to draw conclusions and communicate recommendations effectively to various audiences.
- Capacity to meet aggressive deadlines and manage multiple priorities.
- Knowledge of Lean and Six Sigma manufacturing principles is preferred.
- Due to the nature of the work candidates must be a United States Citizen or United States Permanent Resident.
