Location: Sebring, FL
The role you will contribue to:
- Assists team members to maintain quality patient care.
- Assists radiologist/physicians, when needed.
- Attends hospital and department meetings.
- Complies with The Joint Commission requirements related to their duties.
- Complies with regulations under the HIPAA law.
- Demonstrates knowledge of hospital policies related to emergencies.
- Demonstrates organized approach to daily workload.
- Document and report any patient incident or report of concern in a prompt and timely manner.
- Documents as appropriate in patients' electronic medical record. (PACS, Cerner, other)
- Establish factors to produce quality images.
- Maintain radiation protections standards. (ALARA)
- Utilizes the Image Wisely and Image Gently approach with every patient.
- Prepares and utilizes contrast media appropriately.
- Rotates call coverage.
- Takes verbal orders and documents appropriately in patients medical record
- Utilizes all imaging equipment appropriately and safely.
- Utilizes correct positioning techniques
- Verifies orders and appropriateness of the examination
- Verifies transmission of studies to PACS
- Other duties as assigned
Qualifications
What will you need:
- Appropriate technical skills in general imaging
- Academic & Clinical training in Radiology technology
- Minimum of a High School Diploma or Equivalent
- State of Florida License in Certified Radiologic Technologist
- BLS
- ARRT
- Minimum of a AS, AA Degree or Equivalent (Preferred)
