SYSTEMTEC is seeking a Sr. Technical Writer with a technical writing background on software development/IT projects. This position will focus on gathering and updating documents for compliance and security-focused initiatives.
Candidates should be available for fully onsite work in Columbia, SC.
Required Qualifications of the Technical Writer:
- Applicants must be authorized to work for any employer in the U.S. We are unable to provide sponsorship or work with Third-Party agencies.
- Must be comfortable with ONSITE WORK IN COLUMBIA, SC.
- Candidates MUST BE DEADLINE DRIVEN and detail-oriented, with a strong focus on pushing action items forward.
- At least 5+ years of quantifiable, professional technical writing experience.
- Advanced skills in MS Office to include working with templates and style guidelines for branding consistency.
- Ability to interact with internal and external vendors, project team members, management, and departments while building relationships and using facilitation skills with both technical and non-technical personnel.
- Ability to create and document key project management documents and artifacts.
- Completed Bachelor’s Degree.
- NICE TO HAVE: Experience documenting security and compliance requirements and/or experience with POA&Ms (Planning of Action and Milestones).
Responsibilities of the Technical Writer:
- Assist management with POAM processes and documentation. Assists management with POAM library and artifacts. Edits the POAM dashboard for management. Submits to any Federal and State regulatory audits and assessments.
- Develop, maintain, and submit documents for CMS (Centers for Medicaid and Medicare Systems) regulation compliance.
- Work with various internal and external teams to create information security documents and artifacts for complying with cybersecurity laws and regulations.
- Create artifacts and supporting documentation and uses writing and communication skills to make complex information easier to digest.
- Select and utilize photographs, drawings, diagrams, charts, and other graphical elements that increase users’ understanding. Organize and maintain a repository of all documents and artifacts.
- Revise documents as changes or modifications to information systems and services occur.
WORK LOCATION: 100% ONSITE in Columbia, SC
