Fixed Income Analyst
Position Overview: Our client is seeking a detail-oriented and analytical Fixed Income Analyst to join their team. This role involves evaluating fixed income securities, analyzing market trends, and providing investment recommendations to support the mission of optimizing public sector investment portfolios. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in fixed income markets and a passion for public sector financial management.
Key Responsibilities:
- Conduct thorough analysis of fixed income securities, including government bonds, corporate bonds, and municipal securities.
- Develop and maintain financial models to assess the performance and risk of fixed income investments.
- Monitor market trends, interest rate changes, and economic indicators to inform investment strategies.
- Prepare detailed reports and presentations on fixed income investments for internal stakeholders.
- Collaborate with portfolio managers and other team members to implement investment strategies and optimize portfolio performance.
- Support the evaluation and selection of fixed income investment opportunities that align with public sector objectives and regulatory requirements.
Non-Negotiable Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Economics, Accounting, or a related field; advanced degree or professional certification (e.g., CFA) preferred.
- 2-4 years of experience in fixed income
- Strong understanding of fixed income markets, instruments, and valuation techniques.
- Proficiency in financial modeling, data analysis, and reporting tools.
- Excellent analytical, communication, and presentation skills.
- Ability to work effectively both independently and as part of a team in a dynamic environment.
