Job Summary:
The Payroll Administrator will be responsible for overseeing the entire payroll process, maintaining payroll records, and ensuring compliance with applicable laws. The successful candidate will be well-versed in payroll administration and possess strong organizational and problem-solving skills.
Key Responsibilities:
- Process and manage the company’s payroll system, ensuring timely and accurate payment to all employees.
- Process payroll for 1,000 to 1,500 employees
- Handle Multi-state payroll
- Maintain and update payroll records, including employee earnings, deductions, benefits, and leave balances.
- Ensure compliance with federal, state, and local payroll, wage, and hour laws.
- Prepare and submit payroll tax returns and other related reports to the appropriate government agencies.
- Respond to employee inquiries regarding payroll issues, deductions, and other related matters.
- Reconcile payroll accounts and resolve any discrepancies or issues that arise.
- Assist with the preparation and distribution of W-2s and other year-end tax documents.
- Collaborate with HR to manage employee data, including new hires, terminations, and changes in status.
- Stay informed on changes to payroll laws and regulations to ensure ongoing compliance.
- Assist with audits and provide necessary payroll documentation as requested.
Qualifications:
- 2+ years of experience in payroll administration.
- Proficiency in payroll software ADP Workforce Now
- Experience processing high volume payroll
- Strong knowledge of federal, state, and local payroll laws and regulations.
- Excellent attention to detail and accuracy.
- Ability to handle sensitive and confidential information with integrity.
- Strong organizational and time-management skills.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite, particularly Excel.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
