Trustpoint.One is pleased to be partnering with the Houston office of a national energy provider and supplier in their search for a Construction Counsel. The ideal candidate will be available to work in the Houston office on a hybrid basis and have the following qualifications:
- At least 8 years of experience working in commercial law, including development and construction, finance, corporate and/or energy law, either with a law firm or in a corporate environment.
- Strong academic credentials and currently licensed to practice law in California, New York or Texas.
Responsibilities:
- Negotiate, draft, review and analyze equipment procurement agreements, power purchase agreements, interconnection and other construction agreements.
- Assist with real estate matters such as permitting, environmental and tax issues.
- Assist with closing and project finance transactions, including due diligence and regulatory approvals.
- Assist with compliance and litigation matters as needed.
- Manage outside counsel.
NOTE:
- The salary offering will be determined based on the candidate’s industry knowledge and experience.
- All candidates must be able to work at a computer screen for a sustained amount of time.
