SUMMARY OF POSITION: The Associate Project Manager will assist with all aspects of project management and will complete tasks to help ensure the success of projects for Storm Properties, Inc. This individual will coordinate with the acquisitions and project management teams, external partners, and stakeholders to help ensure projects are delivered on time, with the highest quality standards. Responsibilities include managing and maintaining project management software, outreach to various parties associated with projects, coordinating with real estate team members internally, follow up activities, assisting with creating initial layouts for projects, and other requirements to ensure project success. This individual will gain experience in various aspects of the project management and real estate process. The ideal candidate has an architectural background, possesses strong communication and organizational skills, is willing to learn, and has a passion for real estate development. The Associate Project Manager is responsible for achieving objectives while exhibiting Storm Industries Core Values.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
Regular Functions include:
- Assist with due diligence, organizing, and managing multiple entitlement and development projects simultaneously. The projects can range from entitlements to permitting ground up development and value add projects for a variety of product types, including, Residential, Multi-family, Industrial, and Retail.
- Develop and maintain project schedules in project management software, tracking progress from inception to completion, and addressing any delays or deviations from the plan. This includes the use of project tracking software and tools such as checklists, critical path schedules.
- Serve as a point of contact for project stakeholders including contractors, architects, engineers, local authorities, and internal contacts to ensure smooth project execution and address any issues that arise. This includes calls, emails, and correspondence to follow up on documentation and other requirements for projects.
- Perform follow up activities with consultants, municipal and agency officials, and other parties.
- Organize and maintain accurate project documentation, including contracts, change orders, progress reports, and meeting minutes. Ensure all documentation is entered into the system.
- Facilitate the community planning process, including site analysis, yield studies, land planning, landscape design, amenity programming, and common open space planning, using architectural skills and knowledge.
- Help to coordinate plan revisions and project submittals with consultants for timely project completion.
- Assist with tracking project budgets and budget timelines. Organize competitive bids and help to process vendor/consultant contracts, change orders and invoices.
- Prepare project updates and reports for the team, highlighting key milestones, challenges and achievements.
- Recommend new processes to improve efficiency.
- Other duties may be added by management at any time. Jobs are subject to change and additional responsibilities may be added/reassigned/eliminated as needed
Periodic Functions include:
- Local travel, up to 20%, may be required.
- Preparation of presentations as needed.

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS
Education and/or Experience:
- Bachelor’s degree or higher in related area or equivalent experience with a background in Architecture.
- Experience with project management an asset.
- Knowledge and/or experience in real estate an asset.
Professional/Technical Training and Skills include:
- Proficient with Microsoft Excel, Word, PowerPoint, MS Project, ACT! CAD.
- Experience with project management software an asset.
- Experience with or exposure to Monday software an asset.
