The Role:
We are seeking a Senior DevOps Engineer to join our dynamic team of systems engineers. In this role, you will play a critical part in extending our testing and automation capabilities for our next-generation blockchain. Your expertise in Linux systems, infrastructure automation, and cloud environments will be essential as we build and scale our high-performance blockchain platform.
Key Responsibilities:
- Infrastructure Automation: Design, develop, and maintain automation for infrastructure and testing across cloud and hosted environments.
- CI/CD Pipeline Development: Set up and manage CI/CD platforms (e.g., GitHub Actions, Jenkins) from scratch, ensuring efficient and reliable code deployment.
- Linux Systems Management: Install, maintain, and troubleshoot Linux-based systems, ensuring optimal performance and security.
- Cloud Infrastructure: Build and manage test networks, leveraging container technologies (Docker, Kubernetes) and Infrastructure as Code (Terraform, Ansible, Puppet).
- Network Security: Enhance and maintain our network infrastructure with a focus on security and observability.
- On-Call Support: Participate in an on-call rotation to support production environments and ensure system reliability.
Qualifications:
- Experience: Minimum of 5 years in DevOps, SRE, or Linux Engineering roles, with a strong background in setting up and maintaining cloud infrastructure.
- Technical Skills:
- Proficiency in Infrastructure as Code (Terraform, Ansible, Puppet)
- Expertise in containerization (Docker, Kubernetes)
- Strong scripting abilities (Python, Go, C++)
- Extensive experience with CI/CD tools (GitHub Actions, Jenkins)
- System Management: Hands-on experience with Linux systems (Fedora/Ubuntu) and network setup and maintenance.
- Security & Observability: Proven ability to evaluate and improve system observability and security practices.
Bonus Skills:
- Experience with blockchain technologies and running blockchain nodes.
- Previous experience in an early-stage startup environment.
