7+ years in a design role, specifically related to Process Piping Design
5+ years experience with large, industrial project
Proficient Revit skills (at least 2-3 years)
Proficiency in Navisworks Manage
Problem solving skills related to clash detection in congested areas
Ability to work onsite at least 3 days/week in either Phoenix, Salt Lake City, Portland, or Boise.

Associates/Bachelor's Degree

Job Description
An environmental engineering firm that specializes in the planning, design, and construction of water and wastewater facilities is looking to bring on a Process Piping Designer. As part of the Process Mechanical team, you will work on projects related to municipal water and wastewater treatment plants, including but not limited to major treatment plant expansions, regional water quality studies, and critical water reuse projects that will create sustainable and resilient water supplies for the world. This person will be responsible for a variety of project elements, including drafting, design, checking, and both 2D and 3D drawings. To integrate into the team efficiently, this person will need a strong background in Revit. This person will need a strong understanding of BIM as it relates to process mechanical design for piping, valves and equipment. Strong piping design skills, including an understanding of spacing, pipe racks, a variety of piping materials, and clash free designs. This role will be a 6 month contract-to-hire model, with the primary goal being a permanent conversion. This role can pay anywhere between $35-$50/hr, with permanent conversion salary coming in at or above that rate.
